Biography of Anselm Umorem (Bishop).
Anselm Umorem was born on April 14, 1962.
He was ordained a catholic priest on June 18, 1988 and he is of the Missionary Society of Saint Paul of Nigeria.
On February 2, 2012, Umorem was ordained a Catholic Bishop, and immediately made the Titular Bishop of Scampa. Bishop Umorem was appointed the Auxiliary Bishop of Abuja Nigeria on November 8, 2011.
The pro cathedral of Our Lady Queen of Nigeria was filled to its maximum capacity on February 2, 2012 when people gathered for the ordination of Bishop Anselm Umoren, MSP as a catholic Bishop. It was a joyous moment as the clergy, the religious and the lay faithful of the catholic archdiocese of Abuja, missionaries and associate missionaries of St Paul and friends from different parts of the country gathered, sang, and moved their bodies to the melodious tunes of jubilation in praise of God for the Episcopate Ordination of his dear servant.
