Biography
Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero was born on May 21, 1968.
Mukhtar Ramalan Yero attended LEA Primary School, Kaura between the years 1974 and 1980. After his primary education, he attended Government Secondary school, Ikara between the years
1980 and 1985 where he started his secondary education and ended it by also attending Government Secondary school, Zaria between 1985 and 1986. After his secondary education, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero enrolled in a Diploma program at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU), where he obtained Diploma in Banking. After his Diploma, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero did his Degree program in Science Accounting, graduating in 1991, he immediately proceeded for his Masters in Business Administration, all in the same university.
Mukhtar Ramalan Yero began his career in the Bursary Department of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. From there, he moved to the defunct Nigerian Universal Bank Limited where he worked as Accountant Supervisor between the years 1993-1997. He also worked at Nalado Nigerian Limited as Director Finance and Administration.
In the year 2007, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero was appointed Commissioner of Finance by Architect Namadi Sambo, the then Governor of Kaduna State. In May 2010, he became the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State.
On December 16, 2012, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero was sworn-in as the Governor of Kaduna State as a result of the death of the Governor.
