Biography of Shuaibu Abdulrahman

ABDULRAHMAN SHUAIBU ABUBAKAR born 1965, is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the

Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency of Adamawa State in the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Shuaibu attended Federal Government College, Maiduguri, where he sat for a General Certificate on Education (G.C.E) in 1983. Qualifying to enter the university, he attended Enugu State University of Science and Technology. Obtaining his M.BA in Banking and Finance in 1998, he thereafter applied for his Masters Degree in the same institution and gained his M.Sc in Economics in the year 2002.

Shuaibu Abdulraman worked for Bulkship Nigeria Limited, Adamawa Investment and later, Franchies Limited, where he rose to the position of Deputy Managing Director. He was a board member of Poenix Oil. He was later a Council member and the Commissioner for Land and Survey, Adamawa State.

In the year 2015, Shuaibu was elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Mubi North/Mubi South/Maiha Federal Constituency of Adamawa State in the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). His Legislative Interests lies in legislating for the following areas: oil and gas, land, housing and urban development, security and armed forces, agriculture and water resources, finance and foreign affairs. He targets to satisfy the yearnings and aspiration of the electorates in his constituency.

Shuaibu has won the following Awards and Honors:

Afican Best Man Patriotic Leadership Gold Award by vision magazine; Achievers Gold Award by national institute of marketing of Nigeria; Best Performing Commissioner of the Year 2010 by Shetima Ali Monguno Education Foundation Merit Award 2011;
