Alhaji Akanni Ola Abdulrahman was born in the year 1955 in Lagos State, Nigeria.
He attended Ereko Methodist School, Lagos for his primary education and proceeded to Methodist Boys High School and Ansarudeen Grammar School, Surulere, Lagos for his Secondary Education and graduated in the year 1973.
Alhaji Akanni Ola Abdulrahman proceeded to the Washington University, USA where he obtained his Bachelor in Arts and Masters in Public Administration and graduated in the year 1979.
He joined the federal Civil service in 1991 as a Public Relations Officer and since then held various appointments in administrative capacities. He rose to the position of director in the Ministry of Defence in the year 2011 and now serves as director, Navy affairs.
