Mohammed Umar Saidu was born on 17th MAY 1954. He is an indigene of Nassarawa State, Nigeria.
He had his Primary education from 1961 to 1968 at NA Primary School Lafia, NA
Primary School Zaria, and LEA Primary School Markurdi. Mohammed Umar Saidu proceeded to Government Secondary School Katsina from 1969 to 1973 and further completed his secondary Education at H.S.C, Government College Keffi from 1973 to 1975. He had a Preliminary Studies At Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, from 1976 to 1977. He thereafter studied Electrical Engineering where he graduated with a B. Eng (Electrical) from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1977 to 1980.
Mohammed Umar Saidu proceeded for his compulsory National Youth Service Corps, from 1980 to 1981 in the Ministry Of Works, at Ogun State.
He got into the Nigerian Television Authority(NTA) Jos as a Pupil Engineer, from 1981 to 1982. He was later made Engr 1 NTA Jos 1982, Senior Engineer/Lecturer II TV College 1985, PE/Lecturer 1 TV College 1988, Senior Lecturer/ACE TV College 1993, Principal Lecturer/CE TV College 1997, ADE Markurdi, Sokoto NTA 2008, General Manager NTA Kebbi 2010, Deputy Director Engineering NTA 2012. He was appointed as the Executive Director Engineering NTA in 2014.
In furtherance of his career in the industry, he had attended Various Trainings On Broadcasting: including USTTI At Redwood City, USA 1991, TTC Berlin Germany 1987, TTC Berlin Germany 1995, R&S TX Training, Munich Germany 2000, ITV Conference.
