Biography of Chinwoke Mbadinuju
Chinwoke Mbadinuju was born on June 14, 1945. He was a Governor of Anambra State of Nigeria from May 29, 1999 to May 29, 2003.
Mbadinuju studied Political Science, and has doctorate degree in
Government. He later studied law in England.Mbadinuju worked as an editor of Times International. Prior to joining politics, Mbadinuju was an Associate Professor of Politics and African Studies at the State University of New York. Between 1979 and 1980, he was a Personal Assistant to Governor of the then Anambra State, Dr. Jim Chris Nwobodo. He also served as Personal Assistant to former President Shehu Shagari between 1980 and 1983.
When Nigeria returned to Democracy in 1998, Chinwoke Mbadinuju became the Governor of Anambra State under the platform of People's Democratic Party (PDP).
Chinweoke Mbadinuju is married to Nnebuogo Mbadinuju, and they have five children: Ada Mbadinuju (a medical doctor), Chetachi Mbadinuju (an entrepreneur), Nwachukwu Mbadinuju (a banker), Uche Mbadinuju and Chima Mbadinuju.
