EMMANUEL EKON, born 1971, is a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, under the platform of
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).Emmanuel attended Regina Coeli College, Esene-Ikbasi where he sat for his Senior School Certificate Examination in 1991. He got admission into the University of Uyo and graduated in the year 2000.
In the year 2011, Emmanuel Ekon was elected for the first time into the Federal House of Representatives to represent Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State, under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2015, he was re-elected. At the Federal House, he is a member of the Committee on local content. His legislative interest border on promoting legislation on the areas oil/gas sector, local content, maritime and communication sectors etc. He targets to promote good legislation for effective running of government, providing effective representation to his constituency, state & the nation at large.
