Enoch Adejare Adeboye popularly known as Pastor Adeboye is a Nigerian Pastor and the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG). Pastor Adeboye was born at Ifewara in
Osun State, Nigeria. He is married to Pastor Foluke Adeboye and they are blessed with children.

Pastor Adeboye bagged his Bsc. in Mathematics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and later got his PhD in applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos.
Pastor Adeboye worked as a Mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos and Ilorin.
His work then under the then pastor and founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi was translating sermons from Yoruba Language to English.
In 1981, Pastor Adeboye was appointed as General Overseer of the church after the death of its founder the previous year. He bagan pastoring in a part time basis still continuing with his lecturing at the university. Pastor Adeboye however gave up lecturing in other to do the work of God full time.
He transformed the church from what it was then and the church experienced massive growth and expansion after he took over. The church now has branches in over a hundred countries with over 14,000 branches in Nigeria alone.
Pastor Adeboye is the national president of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship(RCF- an interdenominational fellowship in all the campuses in Nigeria) which is under the umbrella of Christ the Redeemer's Ministry (CRM)where he serves as founder and president.
It is also worthy to note that as one of the most respected Pastors in Nigeria, he has won National and International awards and was named among the centenary awardees of Nigeria in 2014.
In 2015, the Univeristy of Lagos at its Convocation ceremony awarded him a Honorary Degree.
