Philip Uwazuoke Ofoegbu is a native of Amaigbo, Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State. He was Born into the family of Late Mr. Thomas Ofoegbu and Lucy
Ofoegbu in Enugu. He had his University Education at the Institute of Management and Technology(IMT) ? Enugu, and Ambrose Ali University(AAU), Ekpoma where he obtained a Higher National Diploma(HND) Certificate in Accountancy and a Masters in Banking and Finance.
Phillip Ofoegbu is both a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria(ACTI) aside being a Member of many other Professional bodies.
Mr. Philip Uwazuoke Ofoegbu was appointed the Executive Director Finance and Administration (EDFA) of the Nigerian Television Authority in 2014. Prior to his appointment, he rose through the ranks to the pinnacle of his career as the Director Finance in NTA.
His broad and deep experience that spans decades in the Public Service has been the major factor behind the huge successes recorded in Finance and Administration Directorate of the Nigerian Television Authority.
His highly detribalized and broad-thinking attitude, beyond religious sentiment and bigotry was brought to the fore in 2010 when he pioneered the first ever Ramadan Lecture as the then General Manager NTA Gombe. A successful initiative that brought together, people from all works of life including great Muslim clerics, Emirs, academics, artisans, Professional Associations, etc in Gombe State.
He has a knack for creativity and innovation, and is adept at optimally harnessing both strength and weakness of his subordinate to the corporate advantage. All these, he exemplified while in Enugu as the NTA Zonal Director in charge of South-East and the staff rewarded him with a 24 hours daily transmission continuously for over 2 years.
For his rare attributes, Mr. Ofoegbu has been appreciated with several awards within and outside the Nigerian Television Authority.
A naturally endowed communicator with the ability to inspire courage and confidence; he relaxes by reading and discussing current issues. Phillip is happily married to? Mfon Obong Ekong and they are blessed with children.
