Sunday Oji Ogbuoji, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria born on September 29, 1954.
Sunday Oji Ogbuoji attended Government College Umuahia and thereafter proceeded
to the University of Nigeria(UNN) where he obtained a B. Sc in Agriculture. He is a Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for Ebonyi South, in Ebonyi State, Nigeria in the 9 April 2011 national elections. He was elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) ticket.
Ogbuoji was the local government chairman of Afikpo local government area during the military regime before the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic.
Ogbuoji was Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Poverty Reduction in the government of Martin Elechi. In this role he supervised construction and stocking of 35 catfish ponds in an effort to provide youth employment.[3] In November 2010 Ogbuoji, resigned from this post. He remained the Ebonyi coordinator for the Goodluck / Sambo Presidential campaign
Prior to joining the Senate, Sunday Ogbuoji was: A businessman and politician, Board Member, Nigeria Geological Survey Agency, Board Member, Nigeria Shippers Council, Chairman, Ebonyi State Education Board, Hon. Commissioner (Ebonyi State)
In the 2015 elections, he was again reelected to represent Ebonyi South Senatorial District, still under the PDP.
