Career.
After his academic pursuit, Osibanjo engaged in law practice, a profession he practiced so well that he was later elevated to the position of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). He is a senior partner in the law firm: SimmonsCooper Partners, a leading commercial litigation and corporate commercial firm in Nigeria. He represented the former governor of the Central Bank, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi in his suit against Goodluck EbeleJonathan, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In the year 1988, Osibanjo was appointed the Special Advisor to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a position he held until 1991.
