The group #BusinessMen was inaugurated in the year 2007 by two young entrepreneurs, Jerome Batubo and Adasa Rawlinson Cookeygam who is currently one of nigeria's top video directors ( adasa squareball cookey)
Jerome ?Business Man? Batubo (born on the 5th day of January) a renowned singer and song writer, is an indigene of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State. He attended Port Harcourt primary school, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and Baptist High School also in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Jerome Batubo is presently a B.Sc holder in Accounting obtained at the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Adasa ?The Arc? Cookeygam (born on the 21st of October) is from the Igbali ethnic group of Opobo Local Government Area, Rivers State. The song-writer, performer and film director attended International Primary School Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Bereton Secondary School Port Harcourt were he later moved to Federal Government College Port Harcourt to finish his secondary school education. ?The Arc? holds a B.Tech in Architecture obtained at the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.


BOTH were top performers while in the University were they performed at shows, faculty gigs, Branded product promos (like the Coca Cola Jambite Gig). it was at these numerous events that both of them met and came up with the Group ?Business Men? with one thing in mind, BUSINESS!.

Of course one can say it has been a very successful venture with performances nationwide like the Peace Concert at Yenagoa, Bayelsa State in 2008 were they performed alongside Frank d?Nero, Ruggedman, Baba Sempe, Tony Harmony and many others, CANIRIV 2009 in Rivers State were they performed alongside D Banj and Mo?Hits. They also performed at the Graftons Climax Nite 2010, at ILLUSIONS Nite Club Port Harcourt, Rivers State and Democracy Day May 29, at LNG Bonny alongside Kelly Handsome and the Big Brother House mates 2010.

The Business Men took the bull by the horn in the year 2009 when they lunched SQUAREBALL INC. a multi million Naira project with top priority in film production. The company was behind the hit music video ?My Remote? and currently has its hands full with a dozen music video projects that have already been released and many more coming soon

THE ALBUM the ?PROPOSAL? EP is officially dropping on 09-09-12 which is causing tremendous excitement among their numerous fans. THE PROPOSAL EP will contain 8 track including hit singles like My Remote, Were Dat Girl, Beef and many more. The POP group "BUSINESSMEN" together with "The Egberi Papa One of Bayelsa" Mr Timaya, decided to do a remix to the song "were dat girl" Guest appearances in the album would include Timaya, Frank D Nero, Osiculah, Deejay Vyruz MVP and
lots more.
