In the year 2013, Linda Ikeji anounced that she was going to embark on a project she called 'I'd Rather Be Self-made' where she would personally mentor young girls with dreams and aspirations and help them to start a small scale business. Philanthropic Linda Ikeji !
Today, Linda have anounced again that she is ready with the project. According to her, 'I'd Rather Be Self-made' is not a foundation, or an organization it is rather a project where she would meet with some young ladies whenever it is suitable for them. When they meet, they would inspire one another and exchange business ideas. When she discovers a business idea, she would provide the person with capital to start it up. She has disclosed her readiness to support each person with a whooping cash ranging from N 250,000.00 to N 1,000,000.00, depending on what is needed in each peculiar circumstance.
The most important aspect of this project is that Linda is going to use her blog to promote any business she helps the girls to start this way. All she wants in return for these gesture is just hard work from the girls.
Linda also posted a customized T-Shirts she made just for this project. This is the photograph of the T-Shirt worn by Linda as she posted it in her blog.:
