Salamatu Ibrahim , the television Presenter and reporter had her University Education at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where she studied Mass Communications and
graduated with honours.In other to pursue her career in the television industry, she joined the African Independent Television(AIT) in 2007. She however got a lot of exposure from the morning programme titled Kaakaki, the African voice, a programme she anchors with two other colleagues, Adaora Onyechere and Senami Ohiomokhare. The programme bothers on contemporary issues within Nigeria.
Her apparent astuteness and veracity has earned her numerous recognitions including the Grand Order of Merit and Global Ambassador of peace Award in 2013.
Salamatu Ibrahim was a researcher with the Baobab for Women?s Human Rights in 2004 before she went ahead to work full time with World Association of Non-Governmental Organisation(WANGO). Where she worked as a staff writer and proof reader at the News Magazine Department of the Organisation.
Her love for what she does is seen as she maintains her passion for reportage. She covers the environment and water resources sectors. Her experience at African Independent Television(AIT), is not limited to news writing and production of documentary segments. Worthy of note is her documentary on the ECOWAS Parliament in 2010 and the Ogoni Oil Spill in 2012.
