Genevieve Nnaji, a famous Nigerian Actress and Model, is a native of Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, was born on May 3, 1979. She was however brought up in Lagos. Genevieve Nnaji is
the fourth child, out of eight children begat by her parents, an Engineer (father) and a Nursery school teacher (mother).
She had her early education in Methodist Girls College Yaba, Lagos, and afterwards, got admission into the University of Lagos.
Genevieve Nnaji started her career as an actress when she was still eight years old in a television show. She became a Nollywood actress in 1998 at the age of 19. Since Genevieve Nnaji joined Nollywood, Genevieve have featured in over eighty films and has won several awards. she is one of the highest paid Nollywood Actresses in Nigeria .

Genevieve Nnaji started her career as an actress when she was still eight years old in a television show. She became a Nollywood actress in 1998 at the age of 19. Since Genevieve Nnaji joined Nollywood, Genevieve have featured in over eighty films and has won several awards. she is one of the highest paid Nollywood Actresses in Nigeria .
Nnajis talent and dedication earned her numerous film awards, nominations and awards. In 2001 she was awarded the City People Award for Best Actress. In 2005 she won the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Actress.
Career.
Nnaji began her career in the soap opera Ripples at the age of 8, and rotating in advertisements for Pronto, a brand of drink, and OMO laundry. In 2004, she became the face of Lux savon3 in a very lucrative contract.
At age 19, she joined the growing middle of Nigerian cinema while turning in her first film, Most Wanted. She turns thereafter in Last Party, Mark of the Beast and Ijele. She has starred in over 80 films Nollywood4 and is one of the highest paid actresses in Nollywood5.
In the year 2002 Genevieve Nnaji appeared in the movie "Sharon Stone". This film was extremely successful and was also known outside the Nigerian borders on the African continent as well as in some European countries.
Nnaji received several awards in her career including a nomination for Best Actress in 2001 for "City People Awards", and the best actress award in 2005 for "The Africa Movie Academy Awards" (AMAA).
In 2004, she signed a recording contract with EKB Records, a Ghanaian label, and released her debut album One Logologo Line6, a mixture of R & B, hip-hop and urbaine7 music.
In 2008, Nnaji launching her high-fashion brand St. Genevieve, while announcing that, she donated a portion of profit from the business s to charity.

Stand On Marriage.
Genevieve Nnaji, the super-star of Nigerian cinema and mother of a child, says she was born and raised Catholic and does not believe in divorce.
She believes that if she decides to get married, she will stay married and to stay married is not easy. Staying married according to her means that you are in perfect harmony with your partner. This means that you have found your soul mate, because you will be able to support a large number of disappointments that could definitely come, but again we must learn to forgive.
According to Genevieve, before she could decides to walk down the aisle of marriage with a man, she has to consider whether it is the kind of man she would be willing to forgive when the time comes and if her answer to the question is no, then it is not the right man for her.
She further believes that If you know that you can look into someone's eyes and say yes, this is the most you can do for the person. And when that happens, you must have to create a space in your heart to always forgive the person each time he offends you. She thinks that it is only when one can answer honestly and sincerely to this question that he/she can determine whether a person is a potential or not.
She holds strongly that it is the dream of every woman to marry, but the problem is to find someone with whom you are compatible, adding that she has had the opportunity to marry, but she realized that marriage is not the problem but rather compatibility.
