Mr. Maikai was employed into the Federal Public Service as a Principal Information Officer on 16th October, 1990.
When the Press and Public relations unit of the Ministry of Defence was upgraded on June 29, 2011, Mr. Shehu Maikai was deployed as the pioneer Director of the press and public relations department, Ministry of Defence.
