Waje
Aituaje Iruobe known by her stage name Waje (an acronym for "Words aren?t just enough"), was born in Akure, Ondo State in Nigeriaon September 1. She is a Singer
with vocal range that covers three octaves. Even though she was born in Akure, she was later raised in Benin City, Edo State by her parents. She is the eldest and the first daughter in her family.  

Early Life And Education.

Waje attended the Word of Faith Group of Schools. At the school, she belonged to the choir. When Waje was younger, she once sang gospel songs to the satisfaction of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa of Church of God mission International. At the event, Archbishop of  Benin was so delighted by her performance that he decided to render help to her in her whole secondary school days. After her secondary school, Waje got admission at the University of Nigeria Nsukka,  where she obtained a Degree in social work. Even while in school, Waje paid a lot of attention in musical works such at school concerts and fellowships. She chose Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin as her models, and listened so much to their music which enabled her to improve on her own career.

Career.

Waje's vocal range includes three octaves. She started singing in the church as a very young lady. She also worked part-time in the area of tourism. Waje formerly launched into music career In the year 2007. As at the time in question, Waje was still a student. Consequently, she did lots of free shows and gigs, using every given opportunity to showcase her talent.
Waje started being noticed in Nigeria in the year 2008, when she was featured in the P-Square hit track titled "Do Me", a track that was acclaimed across Africa and widely played in Europe. The Track boosted her career. She almost at the same period, participated in Advanced Warning (a reality TV show that was organized by MTV Base South Africa and Zain Nigeria. In the show, Waje came out as the first runner up.
Since she came to the lime light, Waje has performed on stage with various international artists including Wyclef Jean in South Africa, Kerry Hilson during a show organized in Calabar. She has also sang for a lot of artists in their hit singles, including "One Naira" with M.I, "Do Me" with P-Square etc. Waje has also did collaboration with Dencia in the song tiltle "True Love". Over the years, Waje has a lot of songs that have received a number of award nominations and actual awards. In the year 2013, she released her self-titled debut studio album.
Waje?s made a video of her hit song Coco Baby, titled ?Left for Good? in November 2014. She featured Patoranking and Godwin Strings in the song that was a great success. In August 2015, she released her 1st single of the year 2015.
It was Waje who couched the headline of  the song ?Strong girl? which is the theme song for ONE Campaign's ?Poverty is Sexist? in the year 2015. She joined Bono in Lagos at similar campaign that took place in Lagos in the year 2015.
Philanthropy
Waje is currently affecting the youth?s life positively in her own community through an organisation she named ?Waje's Safe House?. With the organization, Waje teams up with other Not For Profit Organizations on quarterly basis to help fight for the youth?s cause. One of the projects carried out by Waje's Safe House was the Mental and Environmental Development Initiative for Children, she assisted  the Project ?HELP? (Help Educate the Less Privileged) which has the goal of raising funds that enabled children to continue their studies in the school at Makoko. The project made use of Ring Back Tones with Waje?s hit singles Oko Mi and I wish.

Career as Actress

Waje is also known for her acting debut on the movie called Tunnel (film), which she did with Femi Jacobs, Patrick Doyle, Nse- Etm, Lepacious Bose etc., in a 2001 drama film directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare, depicting a young pastor's life story, journey and his fulfillment.
