Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal Damisa a consummate broadcast Journalist was born on the 2nd of February, 1956.
He had his early education at the Kudu and Arewa Primary Schools in Kazaure as well
He thereafter attended Government Secondary School Danbatta from 1970 to 1974. He attended the prestigious Bayero University Kano, where he bagged a B.Sc. Hons (Pol. Sc.) in 1979 from the University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Abubakar Tafawa BaJewa University, Bauchi in 1998.
Alhaji Ibrahim Damisa joined the services of the Nigerian Television Authority as Editor in Maiduguri in 1980 and trained with the British Broadcasting Corporation in London and the TV CollegeJos. (He became Bureau Chief NTA Network News in-charge of the North East zone) in Bauchi in 1989 and NTA Network News Coordinator in Abuja in 1992.
He was promoted Manager News and Current Affairs in 1994 and was appointed General Manager NTA Dutse, Jigawa State in 2000. He became Assistant Director News in Charge of Reportorial, at the NTA Headquarters in 2002. Deputy Director News 2006, Zonal General Manager NTA Jos, 2007 and Director of News 2010 ? 2014.
Alhaji Ibrahim Damisa was appointed Executive Director Training and Capacity Building in 2014. He was coordinator NTA?s INEC results centre in 2003 and was Chairman of NTA?s Political Broadcast committee in 2007.
