Biography Of Udom Gabriel Emmanuel
Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is the son of Mr. G. E. Nkanang a retired Head master and a
native of Awa Iman, Onna LGA of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Udom attended Secondary Commercial School, Ikot Akpan Ishiet, Later he gained admission into the School of Arts and Science, Uyo.After Udom obtained Advanced Certificate of Basic Studies (CBS) and a Higher School Certificate (HSC) from School of Arts, he then sort for and gained admission into the University of Lagos, where he obtained his Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, in the year 1988. He later proceeded to the INSEAD, France where he did Advanced Management Program.
Udom Emmanuel, being a Chartered Accountant, worked with the firm; Price Waterhouse Coopers. Udom was as an executive director of the Board of Zenith Bank Plc, a position he occupied from the year 2006. He was later appointed the Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government.
In April 11, 2015, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel contested for, and won election as the governor of Akwa Ibom State.
